Elise obtained her Master’s Degree in Social Work from NMSU in 2017 as well as her Doctorate of Divinity in Spiritual Counseling and her Ph.D in Transpersonal Counseling from UMS Mankato, Minnesota in 2021. She has worked in Domestic Relations, Mediation, and Child Advocacy through the Texas and New Mexico Court Systems; as a Behavioral Health Therapist for a Private Not for Profit Federally Qualified Health Center; a Counselor in a Family Services Center; and a Social Worker for the Las Cruces Public Schools. She has served as the Social Services Director for a Short Term Rehabilitation Nursing Center and Transitional Care Unit and an MSW Social Worker for a Home Health and Hospice Agency. Before becoming a social worker, Elise was an Officer in the United States Navy, an Educator, and a Health Physicist. Elise is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of New Mexico. She is an ordained minister, and in addition to her Ph.D. and D.Div, holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, an MSC in Health Physics, and an Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies. Her approach emphasizes empowerment, facilitation, development, and evaluation. Elise is highly invested in emphasizing a more integrative, dynamic, and holistic approach to mental, physical, and spiritual health. She is particularly concerned with the impact of loss, trauma, and evidence based interventions that support optimal emotional, physical, and relational health.
